Jan. 16-17 – fly from Calgary to Buenos Aires via Houston
Jan. 17 – set sail to Uruguay (Montevideo)
Jan. 18 – Montevideo, Uruguay/ Punta del Este and Estancia (ranch)
Jan. 19,20 – At sea headed for the Falklands
Jan. 21 – Port Stanley, Falkland Islands – Penguins at last!!
Jan. 22 – at sea, headed for Antarctica!!
Jan. 23 – 26 – Antarctica, Antarctic Peninsula, Devil’s Island and Elephant Island
Jan. 27 – Cape Horn – Beagle Channel, and the southern tip of the Americas
Jan. 28 – Ushuaia, Argentina (Tierra del Fuego) – Land of Fire and southernmost city in the world.
Jan. 29 – Strait of Magellan and Punta Arenas, Chile
Jan. 30 – Feb. 1 – At sea up the West Coast of ChileFeb. 2 – Valparaiso, Chile and Santiago. Home via Toronto and Calgary

ReplyDeleteA sceptic would say this picture could have been taken at the Moose Jaw petting zoo...I'll just say when I see a picture of a penguin, Dale or Marsha and an iceberg all in the same frame I'll suspend my disbelief. Either that or an Affidavit sworn by the Sam the Church of the Nazarene preacher, attesting to the presence of himself and yourselves all south of 60. Unless Sam turns out to be an ex-roadie from the 70's heavy metal band Nazareth, in which case all bets are off.
